En ce jour gris de juillet 2019, nous avons rendez-vous avec Michel Rime, futur marcheur de la Jai Jagat 2020, alors qu’il est en pleine préparation de son départ… Inquiet ? Stressé ? Réjoui ? Avec lui, reparcourons le chemin intérieur qui l’a conduit à s’engager sur ce projet horn norme…
Michel Rime, rencontré juste avant l’orage, dans un Paléo 2019 peu épargné par la boue et les imprévus. Comme une sorte d’entraînement à la Grande Marche ?

Déclaration des marcheurs internationaux lors du lancement de la marche le 2 octobre 2019 à New Delhi, le jour commémorant le 150ème anniversaire du Mahatma Gandhi :
« We, international walkers, hear the call of Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th anniversary. He has inspired many people around the world. His message and example are still relevant today, specially in time of so many crisis. We think that the moment has come for experimenting with non-violence together. Following Gandhi, we decided to come to walk.
We are here to discover and learn from grassroots solutions, crossing villages and sharing with various communities. By transforming ourselves, by bearing witness, we try to be part of the change the world needs.
We are not alone. In many parts of the world, people show initiative to confound poverty, discrimination, climate change and violence. Fighting injustice and preserving biodiversity, children, youth, women and men are developing alternative ecosystems for a sustainable future.
We believe in this. And that is only the beginning. »
